His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America met with the Consistory of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of the Ecumenical Patriar
NEW YORK – His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America met today with the Consistory of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of the Ecumenical Patriarchate at the Archdiocese Headquarters in New York City. The Consistory, composed of the following clergy, requested the meeting from the Archbishop who is the Locum Tenens: Protopresbyter Frank P. Miloro, Chancellor; Protopresbyter Michael S. Rosco, Vice Chancellor; Protopresbyter Ronald A. Hazuda; Protopresbyter Michael Polanichka; Protopresbyter Lawrence R. Barriger; Protopresbyter Mark Leasure; (Protopresbyter Kenneth Bachofsky was in the Holy Land). Protopresbyter Mark Arey of the Department of Inter-Orthodox Relations, was also present in the meeting. Following the meeting, the Consistory attended a luncheon hosted by the Archbishop.
This meeting followed the Sunday of the Myrrh-bearers, May 8, when Archbishop Demetrios presided at the Memorial Divine Liturgy for the late Metropolitan Nicholas of Amissos at the St. John the Baptist Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Parish in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, the home parish of the late Metropolitan. Following the Divine Liturgy and Memorial Service, the Archbishop accompanied the family of late Metropolitan, to his final resting place for an additional Trisagion.
